Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she started intensive singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
